ARX Retain: log retention for compliance
Many regulations and contracts require logs to be kept for years and produced when needed, for an audit or an investigation. ARX Retain keeps them safe and gives them back to you when you need them.
How it works
For each company the contract sets how many days of logs remain immediately searchable in the portal.
Every night the data is copied to the long-term archive, on object storage in Europe, optionally in a container dedicated to each customer, with object lock preventing it from being modified or deleted. Data can also be archived immediately, on request.
When needed, archived logs are restored in read-only mode and removed automatically after a set number of days.
Retained, and deleted only when it is right
Expiry at the end of the contractual period has its own switch and requires approval from a second person: it is the only operation that deletes logs, and it never applies to data under legal hold.
The data timeline shows the life of every archive (searchable, archived, restored, deleted) and coverage by date. Every operation stays in the log: who, what, when, with what outcome.
